About this policy
VEHILO LLC develops Vehilo and operates vehilo.app. This policy explains how information is handled in the Vehilo iPhone app, on our website, and when you contact us.
Documents and renewal dates
Vehilo saves the document images you scan or select, renewal dates you enter, and app preferences on your device. These are used to display your documents and provide renewal information and reminders.
The current app does not require a Vehilo account and does not upload your document images or renewal dates to VEHILO LLC. It does not include advertising or third-party analytics.
Device backups
Depending on your device settings, app data may be included in Apple or computer backups. Vehilo does not provide its own cloud storage or synchronization service. Copies in device backups are managed separately from the app.
Camera and photos
Vehilo uses your camera when you choose to scan a document and imports photos you select to add or replace document images. You can manage camera permission in your iPhone settings.
Face ID and passcode
Vehilo uses Apple’s authentication system to protect access to the app. Vehilo does not receive or store your Face ID biometric data or device passcode. Saved document image files use iOS file protection.
Renewal notifications
With your permission, Vehilo schedules local renewal notifications using the dates you enter. Notification previews may reveal the document type and renewal information to someone viewing your screen. You can control notifications and previews in your iPhone settings.
Retention and deletion
Document images remain in the app until you replace or remove them, or delete the app. Removing a document from Vehilo does not remove the original image from your Photos library or copies in existing backups. Renewal dates are stored separately from document images and can be changed in the app.
To remove all local Vehilo app data, use Delete App in your iPhone settings. Offloading the app preserves its data. Manage any separate Photos copies and backups through the relevant Apple or computer settings.
Support email
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you provide. We use this information to respond to your request and resolve issues. Our email service provider processes these communications.
Please do not send document images, passwords, or other sensitive information. We retain support correspondence as needed to handle your request and maintain necessary business records. You can request deletion by emailing jonah@vehilo.app, subject to any applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Website information
Our website hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages, and access times to deliver and protect the website.
WordPress uses cookies for administrative login and related functions. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information. Information provided through the website or support email may be processed by service providers supporting hosting, security, and email. We may disclose information when legally required.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when Vehilo’s features or data practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date.
